The winner of the five Caesars 2018, including the best director Albert Dupontel, is the screening of the epic novel by Pierre Lemaitre, who is also the co-creator of the script for the film. The book was honored with the Goncourt Award Grand Prix, referred to as the "little Nobel Prize", and will be re-released in Poland as early as August with the premiere of the cinema.

"See you in the afterlife" is a moving story of friendship stronger than death.

November 1918. A few days before the ceasefire, Edward Péricourt, the promising artist and son of a millionaire, saves the life of a humble official, Albert Maillard. He pays his feats with terrible mutilation. Both men had nothing to do with each other since the war, but the senseless attack order issued by Lieutenant Pradelle forever intertwines their fate into a knot of unhappiness. As veterans, Edward and Albert quickly realize that for post-war France they are just a problem. Much more valuable are those who died, not human wrecks, which war took everything. And when it seems that both men are already lost to the world, and the triumphant will be Pradelle, who is going to make a fortune on the corpses of war victims, friends come up with an idea that will allow them to flip the card and settle the bills with their homeland.
